Monday, August 25 – Laurel Bunker (IN STUDIO)/Selah – Reconciliation/The Artist’s Corner – What does reconciliation look like? Listen as Susie talks with Laurel Bunker, dean of campus ministries for Bethel University. We talk about what it means to have a church with people from every tribe, every tongue, and every nation. Then Susie welcomes the band Selah to the program to talk about their newest album and their heart for God!
Tuesday, August 26 – Liz Curtis Higgs/Bill and Pam Farrel (Recorded) – Redemption Stories/Man versus Woman – When our life seems darkest, that’s when God is just starting to do His best work. On this edition of Live the Promise Susie welcomes Liz Curtis Higgs back to the program to talk about God’s redemption in our darkness. Then Bill and Pam Farrel join Susie for a fun look at the differences between men and women.
Wednesday, August 27 – Randy Singer/Dr. Greg Smalley – Novel Talk/Relationships – On the next Live the Promise Susie talks with pastor, lawyer, and novelist Randy Singer. We unpack the themes from one of his novels of trust, loyalty, and redemption through Christ. Then Susie’s good friend Dr. Greg Smalley joins the program to field your questions on life and relationships!
Thursday, August 28 – Os Guinness/Theme Show – Renaissance/Acts of Valor – Do you believe the gospel has the power to revive a dying society? Listen as Susie welcomes social commentator Os Guinness back to the program to talk about the call on Christians to shine light in the darkness. Then we look at what it means to be a man or woman of valor with insights from Eric Metaxas, Eric Ludy, and Stephen Mansfield.
Friday, August 29 – Chris Fabry/Matt Brown (Both Recorded) – Novel Talk/Spiritual Fruit – When we’re wrestling with discontentment, it helps to refocus on the faithfulness and promises of God. Today Susie is joined by author and radio host Chris Fabry. Chris shares his own faith journey and talks about his novel, Every Waking Moment. Then evangelist Matt Brown spends some time unpacking the fruit of the Spirit – love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.
Saturday, August 30 – Marilynn Chadwick – Hearing God – What does it mean to hear the voice of God? How can we maintain a close walk with Him in every season? On the weekend edition of Live the Promise author Marilynn Chadwick joins Susie to share principles from her book, Sometimes He Whispers, Sometimes He Roars. We spend time exploring what it means to discern God’s voice and follow His leading in our lives.
