Monday, December 15 – Brady Boyd/Addicted to Busy; Sara Hagerty/Every Bitter Thing is Sweet – Sometimes we become addicted to the fast pace of life, and miss God in the process. On the next Live the Promise Susie welcomes pastor Brady Boyd back to the program to unpack the danger of the ‘rat race’ culture. Then Sara Hagerty shares how God became her joy when she wrestled with infertility.
Tuesday, December 16 – Tommy Barnett/The Power of a Half Hour; Lee Wolfe Blum (IN STUDIO)/Table in the Darkness – We can change our lives in thirty minutes. On the next Live the Promise pastor Tommy Barnett returns to the program to talk about what happens when we turn our schedule over to God. Then Lee Wolfe Blum (BLOOM) joins Susie in studio to share her powerful story of overcoming anorexia.
Wednesday, December 17 – Dudley Rutherford/Walls Fall Down (Recorded); Greg Smalley/Family – What can we learn from the battle of Jericho? Listen to Susie’s powerful conversation with pastor Dudley Rutherford. We’ll explore how God worked to bring His people to victory. Then Dr. Greg Smalley of Focus on the Family returns to unpack navigating the holidays with your family.
Thursday, December 18 – The Great Giveaway! – What’s the best thing YOU can do with $15? On the Thursday edition of Live the Promise we’re celebrating God’s acts of kindness through you this Christmas season! We’ll spend time taking your phone calls and celebrating our mini-missions trip to bless those around us with the love of Christ.
Friday, December 19 – David Garrison/A Wind in the House of Islam; Jimmy Page/One Word – What is God doing in the Muslim world? We hear from Dr. David Garrison, who shares how Jesus is reaching out to Muslims. Then Jimmy Page from the Fellowship of Christian Athletes returns to explore how to select a word as the theme for your year.
Saturday, December 20 – Joanna Weaver – Time with Jesus – We want to bring God our efforts and good works – but sometimes all He wants is us! On the weekend edition of Live the Promise you’ll hear Susie’s discussion with Joanna Weaver. We look at the tendency of women to be busy for the kingdom and take a lesson from Mary, who sat at the feet of Jesus instead.
